About Tavenui

The Garden Island of Fiji
Taveuni is worth the hop for it's unspoiled natural beauty. The 45 minute flight over from the main island is a magnificent journey into 'peteisi', Fijian meaning paradise. Taveuni is a super lush, green island. Untouched rugged coastlines with healthy coral reef life. Rich growth of exotic flora and fauna, and glorious waterfalls. We are a multi-cultural community that truly lives in harmony with the natural environment.

» Map of our location

Taveuni has the fourth [4th] largest rainforest in the world. The volcanic soil, rainfall and southeasterly winds makes this island one of Fiji's most fertile areas. The island is roughly 26 m/42 km long and 10 m/16 km wide. Des Voeux Peak is Taveuni's second highest peak, and is a bird lovers haven. Mt. Uluigalau is typically hugged by clouds, and is one of Fiji's highest summits reaching a maximum height of 4,072 ft/1,241 m.
